Do you like to Blog? Do you like to research other companies and write about their products? Well, essentially Blogmutt is a ghost writing platform that companies use to hire writers for their business websites.

Companies hire Blogmutt and then Blogmutt hires individual people to write blogs based on the companies’ needs. The company will post specific topics that they need a blog post for and the writers for Blogmutt will submit their posts. The company will either buy your post, reject your post, or ask you to revise your post to more specifically fit their needs.

Once you sign up to be a writer for Blogmutt, you work as much or as little as you would like. It’s not a normal 9-5 job, unless you want it to be.

You don’t have to meet any monthly requirements to maintain your writer’s status. You don’t get to retain the rights for any posts you create. In fact, once the company buys the post, they have all the rights to it.

This is not writing for yourself, your pleasure, or your own enjoyment. (Unless, of course, the company you are writing for is a passion of yours.) Most of the time, you will have to do research about the particular product or service the company is advertising.

You will be creating posts – sometimes more friendly, relaxed articles, and at other times very business-y and professional posts. You have to be able to communicate according to the individual company’s expectations.

You will need a good sense of the English language, good writing/communicating skills, and the ability to be flexible with your writing style – often going between topical and promotional.

And of course, you need a computer with internet access and good typing skills. Also, being able to research a company’s needs will give you better chances of your posts being purchased.

You need is a computer with internet access and you are good to go! You will also need a PAYPAL account in order to get paid!

It’s fairly easy to get started at Blogmutt. You enter in your email and they will send you a “Question” of some sort – mostly trying to see if you know how to use grammar properly. They will ask you to write a sentence with specific instructions. Once you answer the question, you wait for a reply.

They will email you back, most likely before the next day, and they will tell you that you either answered correctly, or you that you need to revise. (They are always looking for writers, so don’t worry too much if you made a mistake. They will walk you through why it was wrong and ask you to submit again).

There really isn’t much of a ‘support’ group within the Blogmutt website. They do have a forum where you can ask questions and they provide articles on tips and tricks of how to get started. But really, once you get the hang of how it works, you’re on your own.

They do have what they call their “Urgent 7” list which is the companies that need articles right away. When you choose to write for these companies, the chances of your article being purchased are much higher.

There is NO cost to be a writer at Blogmutt. You will NEVER have to pay anything. You receive $8 per article that is bought.

I have worked for Blogmutt off and on for a few years now. I don’t do much writing for them, because I feel the payout is less than what you can make with other programs.

I do, however, like the ease of access to companies who are truly looking for articles. So, for my personal Blogmutt review, I would say that if you like to research and write for other companies – go for it! Will you get rich? Not likely. But if you’re looking for some extra spending money it’s not a bad gig.

You can read other Blogmutt reviews online as well. There are people who can make upwards of $1000/month writing for Blogmutt. Also, if you create a good reputation with a certain company you have the potential to earn more.
