 Work from home in 2018

As most of you know, my passion and pursuit of this blog was to help others find a sustainable, legitimate income while working from home. I’m happy to announce that in my pursuit of telling others where to find online work – I’ve found my own.

You can be successful too

As I’ve stated before, blogging can be hard. It takes time to build up your audience, and you can end up investing a lot of time and money if you aren’t realistic in your expectations. Unfortunately, it can also be a double edged sword – you need to be making money while you give time for your blog to take off.

I’m still here working on my blog. I’m still hopeful that it will be my sole source of income one day – but for now, I’m also working from home. In fact, I have 2 jobs – both minimal hours a week, but it’s enough to pay the bills and keep us afloat.

Okay – so while I don’t NEED to be working, it is nice to have the extra cash for when the car breaks down. And we can save up for a big vacation – which I’m super excited about too!

Here are my 2 Jobs that I currently do from home while I try to keep my blog afloat!

  1. I am a contract teacher for VIP Kid.

I get to teach English to Asian kids online from my home computer! It’s a great job for anyone who likes working with kids.

Now, I’m NOT an early person. Or at least, I never use to be. But contract work on Beijing time means working Beijing hours. Most of my classes are between 4-7am and overnight Friday and Saturday. It takes a while to build up a client base, but it’s the most fun contract position I’ve had!

Requirements:

You Need a Bachelors Degree

Any degree will do – but it is a must have

Fast Internet speed and updated computer with webcam

or external webcam

Experience working with kids is a plus, but not required

A Great Smile and an Energetic Personality

If you think you might want to try – sign up today for more information. If you have any questions about your application or submission video, let me know. I can give you some pointers!

2. I am a Virtual Assistant

This means I do a lot of ‘office type work’ from home. I draft emails, make phone calls – basically do whatever my boss needs on a day to day basis.

How did I acquire this position?

While these positions do exist, you do have to do some digging to find them. My best advice is to set your Google Alerts for phrases such as “Work From Home,” “Virtual Assistants Needed,” “Looking for a Personal Assistant.”

Once you find someone who is hiring, submit the application EXACTLY how they ask. Make sure you cover everything. People wanting to hire PA’s are looking for people who can follow instructions and perform tasks EXACTLY how they are asked to do so.

And all the while, I’m still here working on my Blog. I’m still homeschooling my children. I’m still being a Pastor’s wife. I wear a lot of hats. Faith & Family First. Then, God always takes care of the rest.
